ATTENTION / HYPERACTIVITY DISORDERS

WHAT IS ATTENTION?

Attention is our ability to focus energy on receiving and integrating the stimuli that we have selected as the most relevant depending on the context.

MOTIVATION IS NOT SUFFICIENT

We must have the desire to let go of internal and external distractions to focus on a specific task. Motivation is essential to be attentive, but it is not enough on its own.

the ear and the attention

The ear must be able to focus on the sounds we have chosen as the most relevant ones. It must also send the correct message to our body, allowing us to regulate physical energy (to keep us seated, for example).

HOW CAN THE TOMATIS METHOD HELP OVERCOME ATTENTION DISORDERS?

The Tomatis ® Method promotes the regulation of physical activity and attention.

The Tomatis® Method helps the ear to perform the functions of discriminating the sound message, regulating the body and inhibiting unpleasant or irrelevant stimuli.

1

The stimulation of the vestibule promotes the control of the body and energy. The result is a reduction of the need for continuous movement, allowing the proper execution of tasks according to the context.

2

The energy previously used to unsuccessfully resist irrelevant stimuli can now be directed to reading, conversation and general learning. By getting less tired, attention periods naturally increase.
